Essentially, you can add a digital key to your Wallet app, which will enable you to lock, unlock, and start compatible cars using your iPhone orApple Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, who&#8217;s adding digital keys?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acura<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cadillac<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chevrolet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GMC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hongqi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lucid Motors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Porsche<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rivian<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tata Motors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voyah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WEY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt;&gt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.batterymap.co.nz\/detail-Apple-1746453-A2660\">A2660 Battery for Apple iPhone 13 Mini<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, Apple did not provide a timeline or many other details on when digital keys would be available for cars from those manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple has a web page that<a href=\"https:\/\/go.redirectingat.com\/?id=92X1584493&amp;xcust=tomsguide_row_5988990626700572749&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fios%2Fcarplay%2Favailable-models%2F&amp;sref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tomsguide.com%2Fphones%2Fiphones%2Fapple-has-announced-13-car-makers-that-are-offering-iphone-car-keys-but-when-are-they-coming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lists all of the vehicles<\/a>that support Apple CarPlay, and there&#8217;s also a little key symbol that shows you which compatible cars work with digital keys. It can be hard to miss since the symbol is a small, light gray key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may notice that some of the brands adding digital keys already offer CarPlay support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of CarPlay, with iOS 26, an updated CarPlay is coming to your iPhone and vehicle. Despite being inbeta, we found it to be an improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt;&gt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.batterymap.co.nz\/detail-Apple-1745697-616-00651\">616-00651 Battery for Apple iPhone 11Pro Max<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During&nbsp;WWDC,&nbsp;Apple also announced CarPlay Ultra,&nbsp;which is intended to be built into select vehicle manufacturers&#8217; vehicles.
